Description:
Join us for The Flowerfield Invitational competition. Women's levels 2-10 and XCEL. There will be wow awards given out and a special prize for the all around champions!
We are looking forward to hosting you and your team for the 2025 Flowerfield Invitational! Below, you can find the tentative competition schedule and some housekeeping items.
This year we are continuing our scholarship opportunity for the Level 9 and 10 athletes in loving memory of an Apex family member. Karen Mullady, one of our Level 10 parents, passed away unexpectedly in November of 2022. She was a devoted wife of 18 years, mother of triplets, Christopher, Joseph and Nicolette, her pride and joy and loving stepmother to Michael and Brianna. Karen was the epitome of the word strength. She was a dedicated police officer who was awarded numerous medals throughout the years. She was also Nicolette’s biggest supporter and traveled all over the country to watch her compete.
To be included in the selection process for this scholarship, any Level 9 or 10 gymnast must submit a 300-word essay on the following:
Often, the defining moments that shape us for the future are thought of as the times we face tremendous successes. However, many times we are shaped even more through the challenges, the struggles, and the failures we face along the way.
In honor of Karen, tell us about a difficult obstacle you faced and how you used your strength to overcome it.
Please share with your Level 9/10 athletes and have them submit via e-mail to [email protected] by no later than Wednesday, March 6th. Please put "Karen Mullady Scholarship Entry" in the subject line.
We will also be selling a Flowerfield Leotard that you can order before the meet or at the competition. All proceeds will go into a scholarship fund for Nicolette Mullady. Last year we raised $1,100 for her! You can order the leotard by scanning the QR code below.
Session Schedule - TBD
We ask that gymnasts arrive no more than 15 minutes before stretch time. This year we will be using a new scoring system, with the scores broadcasted on 55" & 65" tv's. There will be a concession stand, along with clothing and leos for sale. Please ask your parents to park in the large lot on the west side of the building.
Team Coordinators, please make sure all your coaches attending the competition are entered online on your USAG roster.
